Do you speak Afrikaans or understand some Afrikaans because you have lived in South Africa? Learning Dutch will be a different experience for you and more interesting if you're in a group of people with similar knowledge. This course is perfect for you. In this course for 'false beginners or beginners+', you will focus on conversation through activating methods, AND you'll get lots of homework! If you prepare well for each lesson, it will benefit you & your fellow students in greatly improving your Dutch. You'll receive valuable interactive, dynamic & fun lessons by our experienced teachers. Location: Drosteboulevard 7, Haarlem 1x per week 2,5 hour group lessons • 18 lessons Small group of 5-7 students. (minimum participation of 5 people) Teacher: Irene van Beveren Lessons: Tuesday evening 18:30 - 21:00 Start: September 30, 2025 End: February 24 , 2026 (+ one week in case of unforeseen circumstances) *No class on the following dates: * 21 October, 23 & 30 December 2025 and 13 January 2026 Goal: complete A2 Preparation (important!): Chapters 1-3 Self study: At least the same amount of hours of class per week: ±2,5 hours (depending on the student). This course is for students who: • speak Afrikaans as mother-tongue or understand some Afrikaans • already know some Dutch either through a course or self-study (you are familiar with the contents of chapters 1-3 of the book 'Nederlands in Gang' • have done (part of) A1 or A2 and would like to strengthen their level • understand English • can work with a computer & a dictionary • have the ability, will and discipline to study independently • have a computer & internet Book: Nederlands in gang | €49,50 - ISBN: 9789046905609, edition 02-08-2017.
